You reveal your agenda in the third sentence, claiming that nuclear power "causes disasters" and "spews out harmful nuclear waste." There has been exactly ONE such case. Then, like Krall, you uncritically conflate lower-level "waste" from neutron-activated surroundings with high-level waste in the "spent" fuel itself due to fission products. Then you uncritically use the "economy of scale" argument that is actually the main argument of LWR advocates AGAINST SMRs, which are expected to achieve better economy through mass production in factories -- a strategy that seems to work for everything else. Be against SMRs if you must, but at least know the facts and tell the truth.
