Oooh, shall we get out the measuring tape?

Okay. I have a PhD in High Energy Physics from Berkeley, taught Physics to Engineers for 35 years as a prof at U. British Columbia, published over 400 papers in refereed scientific journals, helped create a new field, won assorted achievement awards, most recently AAAS Fellow after retiring in 2011 to spend my time trying to combat misinformation about nuclear power. When you throw out stock dog-whistle lies about how dangerous nukes are, you can expect me to respond undiplomatically. If you want to claim that nukes are intrinsically dangerous or impractical, back it up with cogent details. Your credentials persuade me that you have earned the right to an opinion, but they give me no reason to think your opinion is correct.
