IMNERHO, "Move fast and break things!" evolved from "Release early, release often!" which broke Open Source software long before AI became a buzzword. Try finding a Linux compiler for your old FORTRAN77 code! "But FORTRAN is SO Twentieth Century," cry the language mavens. Sure, <insert your favorite language here> is cooler and better in so many ways, but why does that require irreversible deprecating and orphaning of working software? Why do the inventors of the new always take such delight in the disabling of the old?
